2022 Subaru Outback Trims & Specs

Thanks to the addition of the harcore Wilderness model, the Outback lineup now comprises eight trims for 2022. Base, premium, Limited, and Touring models are all powered by a naturally aspirated Boxer four-pot measuring 2.5 liters and producing 182 hp and 176 lb-ft of torque. The Onyx Edition XT, Wilderness, Limited XT, and Touring XT all get a 2.4L turbocharged motor with 260 hp and 277 lb-ft. All models use a CVT automatic transmission, and Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive is standard fare, too.

Features vary across the range, but some things are non-negotiable, like alloy wheels in either 17- or 18-inch sizes, LED headlights and foglights, and the basic complement of Subaru EyeSight safety gear comprising adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, lane departure warning, and lane keep assist. Base models make do with manual seat adjustment, single-zone climate control, and a rudimentary infotainment setup with a dual-screen setup and only a few speakers. Higher up in the range, however, dual-zone climate, power adjustable seats with memory, heated and ventilated seats, and an 11.6-inch infotainment screen all feature.
