Ferrari's new Icona supercar coming soon.

It's no secret that Ferrari is cooking up anew Icona Series supercar. Ferrari's Icona nameplate is reserved for special limited-production projects aimed at collectors with bespoke styling inspired by historic Ferrari models. Launched in 2018, the limited-editionFerrari Monza SP1and SP2 speedsters were homages to some of Ferrari's most iconic race cars from the 1950s like the 750 Monza and 860 Monza.

Ferrari's next Icona project will reportedly be inspired by the Ferrari 330 P4, which finished second at the 1967 224 Hours of Le Mans. Rumors have suggested the new Ferrari Icona will be revealed in November, and now we know the exact date.

Ahead of its debut, invitations have been sent out inviting trusted clients to get a first look at the new Ferrari Icona supercar at a private event in Italy on November 15. Ferrari's Le Mans racer tribute will then be presented to the public one week later on November 21. Photos shared on Instagram show one of the invites was sent to an owner of a Ferrari Monza. In a nice touch, the presentation box includes a gated gear shifter finished in chrome.

No further details were revealed, but last week our spy photographercaught Ferrari testing a prototypeof the new Icona car in Maranello. Heavily disguised in camouflage, the prototype appeared to be based on aFerrari LaFerrari Apertawith a prominent rear spoiler, a lower stance, wider fenders, and side mirrors inspired by the 330 P4.

Reportedly, the new Ferrari Icona will be powered by the same 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 as the 812 Competizione. This unit already pumps out 819 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque in the812 Competizionebut Ferrari could fiddle with the new Icona's V12 to extract even more power.

建议生产将是有限arou来源nd 300 examples. If so, this will make the new Icona even rarer than the SP1 and SP2 Monza, which were capped at a combined 499 units. Such exclusivity comes at a price, though: buyers will be expected to pay between $2.5 million and $3 million for Ferrari's 330 P4 tribute car. We'll find out more details when the new Ferrari Icona debuts next month.
