It even comes with an original letter from designer Frank Stephenson.

VIN #001 of the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX sold for ajaw-dropping $410,000, over four times its normal asking price. Similarly, the first-ever Ferrari LaFerrari carried a$10 million asking priceback in 2016. We're sure you can see the trend here - the first model in a new production run will always be something special and worth considerably more money.

The same sentiment applies to the very first example of theMcLaren P1. This 2013 model is number 1 of just 375 produced and is now being listed for sale at Silverstone Auctions. As you can imagine, the price is as spectacular as the car.

In Stephenson's original letter, which was addressed to the proud owner of this P1, he wrote: "It was with great pleasure that I was there with our team to witness you driving our very first baby out into the big wide world".

The hybrid P1 served as McLaren's halo hypercar and it had the specs to live up to this title. Its 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 paired with an electric motor for a total output of over 900 horsepower. It is an aerodynamic masterpiece and features adjustable wings at both ends of the body. It could reach 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 217 mph. For more than the price of a brand newMcLaren Senna, one lucky person will get to drive off in this, the first-ever P1.
