Video /7 Comments

The Koenigsegg Jesko looks and sounds incredible.

It's been more than two years since theKoenigsegg Jesko, the Agera's replacement, debuted at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Since then, Koenigsegg has expanded its hypercar lineup with the even faster Jesko Absolut that willattempt to beat Bugatti's 304-mph speed recordand the four-seat Gemara.

Named after the company founder's father, the Jesko hasreportedly entered production, with customer deliveries expected to start in spring 2022. Ahead of customer deliveries, the Koenigsegg Jesko made an appearance at the recent Koenigsegg Ghost Squadron 2021 event in Paris, an annual event for Koenigsegg owners.

Captured in footage recorded by Automotive Mike, it appears to be the samepre-production Jesko prototyperevealed back in July finished in Orange Pearl inspired by the Koenigsegg CCR, and it looks stunning. Joining the Jesko at the event was a Regera and a CC8S. It looks like hypercar heaven.

With Christian von Koenigsegg behind the wheel, we get to hear the Jesko startup and do some revs for the crowd. We also get to see the Jesko get a workout at the track, allowing us to hear its ferocious V8 roar as the exhaust crackles, pops, and dramatically backfires. What you're hearing is the sound of Koenigsegg's 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that produces 1,280 hp on standard gasoline and 1,600 hp on E85 biofuel.

一个ll that power is sent to the rear wheels through a unique nine-speed multi-clutch Light Speed Transmission (LST) offering faster shifts than a dual-clutch transmission. With that massive rear wing, it's hard to believe the Jesko is road legal. Thanks to its aggressive aerodynamics, the Jesko can produce as much as 3,086 pounds of downforce.

Production of the Jesko is limited to just 125 examples split between the regular model and the Absolut. Each costs a whopping $2.8 million, but despite this, every Jesko planned for production has already been sold.
