There's Bad News About The Audi A3 Cabriolet

Audi has announced its updated 2020 lineup with new standard tech and available packages, but with one glaring omission.

Earlier this month, a report emerged that Audi was planning to ax theA3 Cabrioletfrom its lineup due to slow sales. This wasn't confirmed at the time, but Audi has now officially announced the droptop A3 is being discontinued for the 2020 model year.

In addition, Audi is also giving the currentA3 sedan一个送别下一代到来之前the aptly named Final Edition. Available for Premium and Premium Plus trim levels, the new Final Edition package adds front leather sport seats in either Black or Magma Red with contrast stitching, Audi Beam ring for the door puddle lights, and a 3-spoke, multi-function, flat-bottom steering wheel with shift paddles. The A3 S line Quattro (previously known as the A3 Sedan quattro for the 2019 model year) also adds an S line exterior kit with S line badges, aluminum door sills with S rhombus, as well as sportier 18-inch wheels.

Audi has also announced several updates across its 2020 model lineup, with most models getting new standard tech and available packages. For the2020 A6, Audi has added new assists including Lane departure warning, heated, auto-dimming and power folding exterior side mirrors, high-beam assist, and vehicle immobilizer with an added anti-theft alarm system with a motion sensor as standard for the Premium trim. This trim starts at $54,900.

Premium Plus, on the other hand, adds Audi virtual cockpit plus and a heated steering wheel and starts at $58,600. A newly available Executive package for the Premium Plus trim also adds 4-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, power trunk open and close, and multicolor ambient interior lighting. Black optic exterior trim is now available on Premium Plus and Prestige trims. Starting at $64,800, the Prestige trim includes adaptive cruise assist, traffic sign recognition, active lane departure with Emergency assist, intersection assist, and heated rear seats as standard.

The2020 A7mirrors the A6 with new standard tech available for the Premium Plus trim and starts at $69,000 for the base trim. Lane departure warning, a vehicle immobilizer with an added anti-theft alarm system with a motion sensor, and Audi virtual cockpit plus are now offered as standard on the flagship A8 sedan. An available Executive package adds Multicolor ambient interior lighting while an optional Black optic package adds black exterior trim and 20-inch black wheels.

As forAudi's best-selling Q5 crossover, standard equipment for the Premium trim, which starts at $43,300, includes 18-inch wheels with all-season tires and high-beam assist, while Premium Plus ($49,950) and Prestige ($53,700) trims now come with 19-inch wheels with all-season tires. An available Driver Assistance package is now offered at the Premium Plus trim level and includes adaptive cruise control with Traffic Jam assist.

Audi's flagship Q8 SUV, on the other hand, now comes with the same standard tech as the A6 and A7 and starts at $68,200. Premium Plus ($72,200) and Prestige ($77,700) trims also gain new available styling packages including an S line option that adds 21-inch bi-color wheels with all-season tires, a body kit, illuminated door sills, S line fender badges, and a Singleframe mask in body color. The S line plus package adds a Black optic exterior, Singleframe mask in black, black roof rails, 22-inch Audi Sport 5-V-spoke star-design wheels in black with all-season tires, and red brake calipers.

Lastly, the2020 TT,TTS CoupeandTT Roadsterreceive the vehicle immobilizer with an added anti-theft alarm system with a motion sensor. The Black optic package now includes 20-inch wheels in a bi-color high-gloss finish with summer tires. Red brake calipers are now available for the TT RS and a new Pulse Orange color option has been added. Pricing starts at $45,500 for the TT Coupe, $49,000 for the TT Roadster, and $67,500 for the TT RS Coupe. All prices exclude the destination charge.
