The off-road madness is coming soon.

The third-generationFord F-150 Raptor很快就到,尽管保持准确的揭示约会吗s unknown. Chances are it'll happen sometime in early 2021 with the off-road-focused truck hitting dealerships next summer. In any case, the truck's final design and all other vital details have been locked for months now and pre-production now appears to be underway.

The folks at F150Gen14 have somehow managed to obtain an image of the new Raptor's front end that includes the headlights, front fender, grille, bumper, and hood. Although it's hard to make out the final design in this image, a leaked CAD drawing reveals an uncamouflaged front end with the final design intact.

As expected, it looks quite similar to that of the outgoing model with the 'FORD' emblem boldly written across the grille flanked by the LED headlight design of the now on sale fourteenth-gen F-150. The enhanced fender flares, once again, give those headlights a more carved out appearance. Essentially, Ford evolved the Raptor's front-end look rather than redefining it, and we're all for that.

Other new Raptor details have been pouring in lately as well. A recentspy videowas more important for its audio because we could hear the exhaust note. It sounded different, in a good way, compared to the current truck's 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6.

That lower growl is very likely a V8.Previous reportsclaimed Ford will offer two engines this time around: a "base" V6, likely an upgraded version of that V6 with at least 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque on tap, and the 5.2-liter supercharged V8 from theMustang Shelby GT500. With 760 hp and 625 lb-ft, this engine (which might even be slightly detuned) is Ford's direct response to the Hellcat-powered Ram 1500 TRX that's rated a 702 hp and 650 lb-ft.

Aside from two engine options, there'll be an abundance of off-road feature upgrades and other refinements to make the new Raptor an even better all-around full-size truck. For now, enjoy the leaked images.
