GMC Bringing the Heritage to New York with the Yukon and Sierra

GMC has announced their plans for the 2012 New York International Auto Show. In addition to bringing their 2013 Terrain Denali SUV, they will be introducing the Heritage special edition for both the Yukon and Sierra SLT models. The Heritage special edition celebrates GMC's 100th anniversary and includes plenty of bespoke badging, EZ-Lift locking tailgate and upgraded premium interiors with new gadgetry and ebony combined with light tan leather for improved aesthetics.

Embroidered headrests, floor mats, rear-view camera and 10-way leather memory seats have also been made available as options for the new package. The Heritage Edition also sports a set of chrome 20-inch wheels for an extra powerful look. "The GMC brand always looks forward, but this day provides an opportunity to celebrate 100 years of the proud GMC name. Sierra and Yukon are two of our longest-running and most-respected nameplates, so it makes sense to use them to represent our heritage," said Tony DiSalle, U.S. vice president of GMC Marketing.

The GMC Yukon Heritage Edition will run an extra $1,970 while the Sierra SLT Heritage Edition will cost $2,645. They will both be making their debuts later this week at the 2012 North American International Auto Show.
