Updated 2021 Nissan Navara Receives PRO-4X Package

As we continue to wait for the debut of the all-newNissan Frontier其海外的表妹,Navara, has just received a refresh. And like the US market Frontier, the Navara is now available with the PRO-4X off-road package. The entire Navara lineup benefits from a restyled front grille boasting squared C-shaped headlights while the LED taillights have also been slightly altered. The tailgate now has the truck's name written directly below the Nissan emblem. Nissan calls the new look "ruggedly bold" and we tend to agree.

There's a pretty decent chance some elements of this styling language will be found in the newUS-spec Frontier. And, just to add some confusion, the Navara is sold with the Frontier name in South America and Mexico.

An array of new technologies can also be found, including Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and Emergency Braking, and the Intelligent Around View Monitor, a system that utilizes four cameras to enable drivers to see what's happening around the vehicle when it comes to general safety, parking, and maneuvering the truck when a trailer is attached.

A number of mechanical updates include a strengthened rear axle, improved payload capacity, increased bed volume, and even a newly integrated step in the rear bumper for improved bed access. Low-speed maneuverability is improved thanks to a new steering rack that also provides better steering response. Nothing is new under the hood.

The overall interior and dashboard layout remain similar to last year, though there's now an updated 8-inch infotainment system and a 7-inch digital driver's display gauge with improved resolution. A new steering wheel, updated seat cushions, and additional soundproofing round out the updates.

Last but not least is the PRO-4X package. Unlike the North American package, however, this one is really more about styling despite having越野轮胎. The package tacks on things like a black emblem, orange-accented front bumper, black grille, and door handles. The roof racks and running boards are also black.

Sales of the updated 2021 Navara will begin next month in Thailand, before rolling out in other markets.
