Infiniti Finds A Way To Introduce 2022 SUVs To The Public

Like so many other automakers, Infiniti has had to reevaluate how it will unveil and promote new vehicles that were scheduled to make their debuts at the New York International Auto Show. It was recentlycanceled amidst safety concernsas a new COVID-19 variant sweeps across the world wreaking havoc, and as a result, the likes of Hyundai have decided tohost reveals virtuallywhile others like Subaru don't seem to have a backup plan. Infiniti certainly seems to have its ducks in a row and has announced that it will now be unveiling its 2022 range of luxury SUVs and crossovers through an art installation in New York City.

The display will be at the Oculus Transportation Hub in NYC and will be part of "a uniquely curated art installation presented by Infiniti and artist Daniel Wurtzel, who was selected for his daring and forward approach to art and design - hallmark's of Infiniti's design language."

So what are we going to see? Well, the all-newQX60will be shown, as will the QX50, thenew QX55, and the refreshed 2022 QX80. The installation will be in place for three days, from August 18th to 20th, and will also offer visitors the opportunity to engage with Infiniti's Senior Vice President of Global Design, Alfonso Albaisa, and its Director of Marketing, Phil O'Connor.

The art display from Daniel Wurtzel will be a great attraction on its own and is called 'Sine Wave'. It is said to capture Infiniti's essence - "daring, forward, and human" - and Wurtzel himself will also be on hand to discuss his work, which "is highly acclaimed for its motion and grace, capturing an elegance that's inspired [...] by his fascination with fluidity and flight."

Infiniti has only shared the one digital render with us as a teaser, but we're confident that the art installation will be stunning, and even if it were to underwhelm, this is far cooler than another online reveal.
