2023 Volvo XC60 Exterior and Dimensions

The grille on the front fascia isn't quite so bold, but there are large air intakes in the lower bumper. On either side of the grille are LED headlights featuring the signature Thor's Hammer design that Volvo is known for, and there are LED daytime running lights, too. This year, there are Core, Plus, and Ultimate trims and the base Core trim runs on 18-inch alloy wheels and renders the grille surround, front air-vent trim, and window surrounds in a metallic finish, while the grille, roof rails, lower side-sill trim, and lower apron trim is black.

The Plus and Ultimate trims are offered in either Black Theme - where all these mentioned trim pieces are gloss-black - or a Bright Theme - where all these trim pieces have a metallic finish. The Plus has 19-inch alloys and the Ultimate, 20-inch alloys. In the rear, the XC60 takes an orthodox approach, and the character is subdued because the tailpipes are concealed. Polestar Engineered Plug-in hybrid variants get 21-inch wheels and a bespoke grille to set them apart from the lineup. Other standard equipment includes a panoramic sunroof and a power liftgate.

Volvo does things by the book when it comes to the XC60's dimensions. It fits the midsize segment perfectly with a length of 185.4 inches and a 112.8-inch wheelbase. The total width is 83.3 inches with the side mirrors extended. Folded in, it's 78.7 inches wide. As for height, it stands 65.2 inches tall and 8.5 inches off the ground, which isn't bad for an urban-centric SUV, though it's far from what you'll need if you plan to do any off-roading.

Curb weight can vary quite a lot depending on trim level. The base-model XC60 with a B5 engine and FWD comes in at just over 4,000 pounds, while the AWD T8 Recharge tips the scales at around 4,700.
