Ferrari SF90 Le Mans To Be Revealed This Weekend

Reports claim Ferrari's latest supercar is about to be revealed.

CarBuzzspy photographers have been camping outside Ferrari's factory and have brought us new images of the upcomingSF90special edition, which is said to arrive with theLe Mans moniker. The latest images do not reveal much we didn't already know, as theproduction bodywork has already been leaked.

However, it's worth taking a closer look. This development vehicle appears to be wearing a sort of masking tape on its wheels, which suggests that these could be production-bound. We suspect these wheels have once again been designed to help extract hot air from the brakes, as has become customary for Maranello's creations.

Not to be confused with theforthcoming LaFerrari replacement, the internally designated "Versione Speciale" of the SF90 is expected to offer blistering performance but should be somewhat reined in so that it does not tread on the toes of the upcoming halo model.

据报道,这种特殊的安徒生n of the supercar will be unveiled at the world's most significant endurance race at the Circuit de la Sarthe. The centenary edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans takes place this weekend, from June 10-11, and it seems like the perfect setting to unveil Ferrari's new supercar since the automaker will be competing with its499P Le Mans hypercar.

As for performance, we're expecting the SF90's 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 to return with hybrid assistance, likely boosting overall output beyond 986 horsepower to somewhere north of 1,000. The eight-speed dual-clutch transmission may be retuned but should otherwise carry over unchanged.

Some reports claim that just 699 coupes will be offered with 399 convertibles, so whatever it costs, you can be sure that all examples will sell easily if they haven't already been spoken for.

After the reveal of this, we can expect the LaFerrari replacement andat least two other new Ferraris. Ferrari's first all-electric car may arrive before the end of the year too.

Check back here on the weekend for more on the so-called SF90 Le Mans.
