2023 Porsche 718 Boxster Interior and Cargo

Buying a Porsche means buying into a luxury lifestyle. Despite being an "entry-level" Porsche, the 718 Boxster is still a decidedly premium product with a wide selection of premium materials. There are also many 718 Boxster interior colors on the menu. The base model features partial leather seats in Black or Agate Grey. Going for leather costs an additional $500 and includes color options such as Black and Agate Grey, while $650 will get you the Black/Bordeaux Red or Black/Chalk options.

Adding leather to the seats and the rest of the carbon is an option that starts at $2,520. Porsche also offers a natural leather option in your choice of Espresso or Espresso/Cognac, but each of these options will cost over $4,000.

718 Boxster T models offer seating options such as Sport-Tex seat centers, and you can brighten up the interior of this model with the 718 T Interior Package which adds trim elements in colors like Guards Red, Racing Yellow, GT Silver, or Lizard Green. The range-topping GTS 4.0 comes with leather/Race-Tex seats in black as standard, and options include the GTS Interior Package in Black/Chalk or Black/Carmine Red.

Porsche allows you to customize the cabin trim inserts by finishing specific parts in leather, Race-Tex, carbon fiber, or aluminum. Again, though, the cost of these options can quickly add up.

If you're planning a romantic month away for you and your partner in Alaska, get a Ford Bronco; the cargo space in the Porsche 718 Boxster was not designed to accommodate large baggage items or Ikea furniture sets. Pop the hood, and you'll be met with a grand total of 5.2 cubic feet of space, while in the rear, space is even less at 4.4 cubes. That's enough for two carry-on suitcases but not much else. Inside the cabin, you get a set of pop-out cup holders, a set of door pockets wide enough to fit a few slithers of toilet paper, and a glove box.

The Boxster has traditionally been a back-to-basics sports car with minimal features, but as the market has advanced, Porsche has been forced to add more and more tech and luxury. The 2023 Porsche 718 Boxster's interior features heated seats with partial power adjustment, dual-zone automatic climate control with an integrated active carbon filter, an anti-theft system with an engine immobilizer and alarm system, a HomeLink programmable garage door opener, cruise control, and front and rear park assist with a reverse camera. The roadster top is fully electrically adjustable and comes with a heated rear glass window.

A long list of optional features is available, although at least some of them should be standard. The selection includes ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, lane change assist, and adaptive cruise control.

The infotainment system is simple: you get a seven-inch touchscreen display with modern essentials such as SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, Bluetooth streaming, and Apple CarPlay integration. Disappointingly, Porsche stll hasn't made Android Auto available, which we're sure many would prefer over the CD/DVD drive. You also get 11 GB of internal media storage, two USB slots, and two SD card slots are also included. Porsche also includes services such as Porsche Car Connect, which includes a can-find tool, remote vehicle status, and vehicle tracking. Sound is channeled through a six-speaker sound system. 10-speaker Bose (GTS 4.0 only) or 12-Speaker Burmester sound systems are also available if you're looking for a bigger kick.
