Rare Porsche 968 Turbo S One Of Only 14 In The World

The 968 is arguably one of the most underrated cars produced by Porsche. Introduced towards the end of the 924's lifecycle as保时捷的入门级跑车before the Boxster replaced it, the 968 was powered by a 3.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produced 236 horsepower.

This wasn't enough power for some people, so Porsche introduced a high-spec Turbo S model produced in limited numbers to compete with the likes of Nissan and Mazda. Only 14 or 15 were ever made, which makes it extremely hard to find today. Fortunately, one of them is looking for a new owner and is currently listed for sale on Early911s in Germany.

To extract more power from the 968, Porsche's Motorsport department added the head and turbo of the 994 Turbo S engine to the 968's 3.0-liter powertrain. As a result, the bespoke engine produces 305 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque.

In addition to the engine upgrade, the sports car gained some exterior modifications that hinted at its improved performance, including twin NACA ducts on the hood, a large rear spoiler, and three-piece Speedline wheels. The suspension was also lowered by 0.7-inches and Porsche managed to make the 968 Turbo S 45 pounds lighter than its standard sibling. At the time, these modifications made the 968 Turbo S even faster than the911 Carrera 3.8 RSR.

This particular 968 Turbo S listed for sale is one of three or four models that were made for the 1994 model year. It still has its original white paint finish and black leather interior, and 28,354 miles on the clock, which is low for its age. No asking price has been listed, but don't expect it to be cheap considering the car's rarity.
