路虎揽胜Velar Transformed Into 600-HP Animal

Back in February, Land Rover lifted the wraps off the new flagship路虎揽胜Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition. Developed by Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations, the limited-edition路虎揽胜Velarpacks a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 that produces 550 hp, enabling the luxury SUV to sprint from 0-62 mph in 4.3 seconds before hitting a top speed of 170 mph. This made it the most powerful Range Rover Velar - or at least it was until aftermarket tuner Manhart worked its magic on it.

The tuner has just unveiled its new custom Range Rover Velar dubbed the 'Velar SV 600.' As the name implies, Manhart has managed to extract 600 hp from JLR's supercharged 5.0-liter V8. Peak torque has also increased from 502 lb-ft to 553 lb-ft.

This power boost was achieved thanks to a remapped ECU. It sounds much more aggressive than the standard SUV too, thanks to a sport exhaust system with 200 cells catalytic converters and adjustable valve control. Black exhaust tips also provide a more sinister look than the standard chrome tips.

Manhart hasn't said how these upgrades affect the performance but it should be faster than the stock version, which will hit 0-62 mph in 4.3 seconds before reaching a top speed of 170 mph. To complement the black exterior, the Manhart SV600 rides on 23-inch Hawke wheels finished in gloss black, giving the SUV a more aggressive appearance.

The suspension, brakes, and interior have been left stock, but they can be customized by Manhart on request. The lack of additional mechanical upgrades isn't surprising as Jaguar Land Rover has already fitted the flagship Range Rover Velar with uprated brakes and suspension components.

In stock form, the SUV's luxurious interior features exquisite twin-stitched, perforated and quilted Windsor leather and 20-way adjustable heated and cooled front seats with memory and massage functions. At the moment, Manhart hasn't announced any pricing details, but the custom SUV certainly won't be cheap considering that the standard Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic starts at $90,790.
