The 2022 model lineup consists of four trim levels starting with the Ascent base model and followed by the Premium, Onyx Edition, Limited, and Touring. All four trims are powered by the same turbocharged 2.4-liter flat-four engine, which develops 260 hp. Power is sent to all four wheels via a CVT transmission. The base model gets features such as LED headlights with auto-leveling functionality, 18-inch alloy wheels, and roof rails on the exterior. The interior gets tri-zone climate control, a 6.5-inch infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, and adaptive cruise control with forward emergency braking. Premium models add features such as 4G LTE internet and blind-spot monitoring with lane-change assist and rear cross-traffic control. Onyx Edition models add 20-inch alloys, blacked-out exterior trim, a panoramic moonroof, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated steering wheel, and special interior trim and upholstery. Limited models get power-adjustable front seats with heating, as well as heated rear seats, leather upholstery, keyless entry, and automatic braking. Touring cars add navigation and a panoramic sunroof, amongst others. Upper trims also benefit from leather seating and a few extra safety features such as a 180-degree front camera.

While the base model isn't offered with any packages, the Premium model gets access to the Convenience Package for $1,460 which adds a power tailgate, keyless access with push-button start, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and reverse automatic braking. This package can only be added to the eight-seater variant. Limited models can option on the Technology Package for $3,550 to add a surround-view monitor, a premium Harman Kardon sound system, a panoramic moonroof, and navigation. There are no other packages available for the lineup. Remember that Premium, and Limited models can choose between seven- and eight-seater configurations, with the seven seater option being slightly more expensive.
