The Ultimate Dream Garage Is This Street Built Inside A Warehouse

The Irish version of a dream garage also comes with storefronts and cool cars.

Most car guys dream of building their very own personalized garages - a place not just to store cars but also to work on them and to hang out with like-minded car nuts.Drift Games, a YouTube channel based in Ireland, did just that but also went above and beyond by building a street inside a warehouse.

By definition, the building shown in the video below is still a garage, just like the place housing Gabriel Iglesias'VW bus collectionor Jay Leno's Garage. But what sets it apart is its cool "street" theme, complete with building facades. These aren't just decorative by the way; all of them are fronts to several entire rooms.

For instance, Drift Games' office resembles a coffee shop beside a pub. A Mobil 1 mini garage is the group's storage room and the primary entrance to the street-themed garage via a ramp.

The whole thing is the complete opposite of themulti-million underground garagein Connecticut. This one in Ireland sits on the second floor of a renovated warehouse.

On the same side is probably the coolest podcast "room" ever. It isn't a room per se but a Volkswagen Camper that's turned into a podcast studio. It's rusty and doesn't run, but its interior is cozy and soundproofed.

The place also features a car-themed arcade, a workspace with oodles of tools, a photography studio corner for taking great shots of cars, and a corner featuring Drift Games' merchandise.

The best part about these bonkers-looking car-themed hangout spot is that it was all built by car people. From the electrician down to the contractor they hired, they immediately understood the assignment and went to town to create this "dream street."

Last but not least are the cars visible in the video. The channel's name is a dead giveaway; the freshly minted garage is filled with various automobiles and drift cars. There's a heavily modifiedChevrolet Corvette, a Nissan Skyline, and a yet-to-be-revealed MX-5 NC build. The stars of the garage though, are several mint examples of the Nissan Silvia, arguablyone of the best drift carsever made.

But why build this place in the first place? It is the childhood dream of David Egan,Drift GamesCEO. Also, he intends it to be a "safe space" for car people to meet, collaborate, or chill out. There's also the fact that Ireland sees rain all year, so it can protect the group's precious cars and allow them to continue filming projects indoors.
