The exterior of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS cannot be mistaken for that of the GT3. There are wider tracks that go with the aggressively flared wheel arches, outsize front air tunnels with big hood outlets, vents on top of the front wheel arches to reduce wheel-well air pressure, and side blades behind the wheels to direct air outward. That enormous rear wing dwarfs the item on the normal GT3 and the rear bumper is totally different from that of the GT3 - widened to meet the massive rear rubberware and sharply scalloped to make way for the rear-wheel sideblade. It all comes together in unimpeachable stability and huge downforce, while clearly letting the world know this is no run-of-the-mill GT3. Wheels are staggered 20/21-inch forged aluminum alloys, but lightweight bronze magnesium alloys are available, too. Naturally, the headlights are LED units with Porsche's familiar four-point motif. Plenty of personalization is possible in terms of wheel colors. The optional Weissach package fairly transforms the car's appearance with magnesium wheels and many carbon-fiber parts, including the partially painted hood, carbon roof, and other items.
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS's dimensions mostly mirror those of the GT3 and both cars are around the same size, with the same length of 180 inches and wheelbase of 96.7 inches. The GT3 RS wider and flatter though, with its body width of 74.8 inches without the mirrors being 1.9 inches more than that of the GT3. As for height; it stands 52.4 inches tall. Curb weight is up by 104 pounds to 3,268 pounds with the PDK gearbox, but this can be reduced by 33 pounds by opting for the Weissach package.

There are eight exterior colors for the Porsche 911 GT3 RS on the standard palette. The four standard no-cost colors are White, Black, Guards Red, and Racing Yellow. There are four hues on the Special Color palette for $4,220 each: GT Silver Metallic, Arctic Grey, Shark Blue, and Ice Grey Metallic. The $20,960 Paint to Sample option allows you to choose a unique color from a provided sample, while the $43,390 Paint to Sample Plus service is able to develop virtually any technically feasible solid or metallic color based on your submitted color sample.
To keep the center of gravity low for track use and the best possible handling, and to keep weight low, the GT3 RS is not offered with any type of sunroof at all. You can only opt on a carbon-fiber roof via the Weissach Package.
The GT3 RS has two round center-exit rear exhausts.
The GT3 RS rides on staggered 20/21-inch aluminum wheels, front/rear. Lighter magnesium wheels in the same sizes are optional.
