New Special-Edition Audi TT RS Hits The Nurburgring

Curiously, the prototype in the video is finished in blue, yet the production version will only be available in Alpine White with retro decals applied to the hood, shoulders, roof, and rear inspired by the 1987 Audi Sport Quattro S1 driven to victory by Walter Rohrl at Pikes Peak. The wheels also appear to be different - five-spoke alloys instead of the white seven-spoke items fitted to the celebratory edition. Perhaps Audi is planning to launch another version outside of Germany; we're keeping our fingers crossed for a US variant, as part of the celebrations have already seen an美国IMSA-inspired Audi RS6 GTOunveiled.

Chances are Audi is performing some final tests for the car's custom aero kit that includes gloss black side flics in gloss black on the front apron, a front splitter, a fixed rear wing, spoiler side extensions, and a diffuser. White 20-inch alloy wheels are offered as standard and the front ventilated and perforated steel disc brakes feature red calipers.
