The BMW M4 CS is a limited-edition, lightweight, more powerful version of the standard M4 coupe. It’s also likely the last M4 variant we’ll see before an all-new model arrives. Using the same 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six as the regular M4, the CS gets a few tweaks to up outputs to 454 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is fitted and rear-wheel-drive is standard. There’s also an adaptive M suspension, an active M differential, and weight-saving measures like a carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic hood and roof.
Inside, there’s automatic climate control, power-adjustable and heated front seats, the iDrive infotainment system with an 8.8-inch central screen, a rearview camera, keyless entry, and navigation. Alcantara and leather trim adds a sporty touch to the CS-specific cabin, which also has lightweight seats. There aren’t many options to choose from, but you can specify the Executive package which adds a head-up display, a power rear sunshade, and other extras.
