Not all of these cars deserve to be here.

In terms of the year of 2016, we have just gotten past June, also known as hump month. Being that we are now halfway through the year, most customers and press outlets alike have managed to drive this year's new automobile releases to determine which ones are the hits and which cars can be tossed into the losing pile. Of course, the winners write history and unless an automaker makes a car so notoriously bad that itearns a spot in our crusher, only the cream of the crop get ink spilled over them.

To get to the bottom of the matter, UK's Auto Express tested their favorite European cars to see which make the list. Here are the results. -City Car of the Year: Skoda Citigo -Supermini of the Year: Volkswagen Polo -Premium Small Car of the Year: Mini Cooper -Compact Family Car of the Year: Vauxhall Astra -Family Car of the Year: Skoda Superb -Estate Car of the Year: Skoda Superb Estate -MVP of the Year: Citroen Gran C4 Picasso -Crossover of the Year: SEAT Ateca -Compact SUV of the Year: Jaguar F-Pace

-Large SUV of the Year: Volvo XC 90 -Pick-Up of the Year: Mitsubishi L200 -Hot Hatch of the Year: Ford Focus RS -Convertible of the Year: Mini Convertible-Coupe of the Year: Audi TT -Roadster of the Year: Mazda MX-5 -Performance Car of the Year: McLaren 570S -Compact Executive Car of the Year: Jaguar XE -Executive Car of the Year: Mercedes E-Class -Luxury Car of the Year: Mercedes S-Class -Van of the Year: Volkswagen Transporter -Green Car of the Year: Toyota Prius -Car Advertising Campaign of the Year: Peugeot 308

-Technology Award: Hyundai -Design Award: Honda Civic Concept -Driver Power Award (Based off of a customer satisfaction survey): Tesla This list is extensive, but there's one award missing from it; the car of the year award. Unsurprisingly to some and shocking to many, theJaguar F-Pace stole that crown. Of course, these cars are the favorite picks for Europe, so we see Japanese and American offerings that traditionally win in the states orin other parts of the worldreplaced by Europe's favorites.
