Mercedes AMG is rapidly expanding its performance product lineup to the point it's hard to keep up. After the一个MG EQS debutedat the Munich Motor Show as the performance division's first EV, theall-new SLwill make its world debut next week on October 28. This week, we also caught AMGtesting the new GLC 63for the first time, and now theS63ehas been spotted out in the wild once again. And this time, we get a peek inside the high-tech interior.

一个s expected, the cabin tech from the regular S-Class has carried over to the AMG S63e. The prototype is equipped with the same 12.8-inch portrait screen for the MBUX infotainment system and a wide digital instrument cluster. We expect Mercedes' optional 56-inch Hyperscreen will also be available.

一个musingly, Mercedes-AMG has crudely covered the inside of the doors and center console with cardboard. It's not the most sophisticated disguise but it does the job. Compared to the regular S-Class, the AMG S63e also has a lower and stiffer suspension, larger wheels and brakes, and a quad exhaust system. When the camouflage is removed, the S63e will stand out from the regular model thanks to its Panamericana grille, aggressive bumpers, and rear diffuser.

一个s the charging port on the prototype indicates, the new S63e will be a plug-in hybrid which we expect to come powered by a twin-turbo V8 and an electric motor reportedly producing around 700 horsepower.

This will be a substantial improvement over the outgoingMercedes-AMG S63, which generates 603 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque from a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. This might not be the most powerful variant of the new AMG-powered S-Class, however. Mercedes-AMG is allegedly cooking up a hotter S73e with over 800-hp to replace the discontinued V12-powered S65. Currently, Mercedes only offers a V12 for the new Maybach S680.

Since the S63e prototype is barely camouflaged and prototypes have been spied for over a year now, an official reveal shouldn't be too far away. A debut at the 2021 LA Auto Show in November could be a good bet, but we'll have to wait and see.
