2022 Volvo XC40 Trims & Specs

The 2022 Volvo XC40 continues to impress in this segment. It looks good, is beautifully made, has a reasonable price tag, and performs well thanks to two turbocharged engines. The more powerful T5 is the pick with its 248 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, but the base T4 with a lighter FWD system and better fuel economy is worth a look too. The Recharge offers 402 hp and 486 lb-ft from its two electric motors.

Every XC40 comes standard with LED headlights, rear parking sensors, heated front seats, a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, and a nine-inch portrait-style touchscreen interface. After the base Momentum, there's the similarly specified R-Design and Inscription to choose from. The R-Design looks the part with its 19-inch wheels and glossy black trim, whereas the Inscription will suit a more conservative buyer that appreciates a less flashy approach. Both of these trims add dual-zone climate control, power-adjustable seats for both front occupants, and wireless charging. Blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic alert, and road sign information are standard across the lineup.
