There are six Suburban models to choose from: LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country. Five out of the six models come standard with a 5.3-liter V8 engine producing 355 hp and 383 lb-ft. The High Country comes standard with a 6.2-liter V8 producing 420 hp. A six-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine is available on all trims except the Z71.

Rear-wheel-drive is standard on all models apart from the off-road-ready Z71. The Suburban is best known for offering copious amounts of space, which you get from the base trip upwards. If you order it with a front bench seat, it can swallow up to nine people. Tri-zone climate control and a nice selection of active safety features are also standard across the entire range, including forward-collision alert, front pedestrian braking, parking sensors front and rear, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and a teen-driver function. Top trim levels grant you access to all the luxuries you could possibly imagine, like upgraded Bose sound systems, an automatically heated steering wheel, a head-up display, and an HD surround-view monitor.
