Roy Robles

Roy has always been passionate about regular cars, finding great pleasure in pushing their limits rather than cruising in high-performance vehicles. He has a particular fondness for Corollas due to their simplicity and reliability.

Despite having a background in Philosophy and Economics and spending nearly a decade in the corporate banking sector, Roy decided to pursue his love for writing and sharing his thoughts on cars particularly through video with his YouTube channel, Mototelic. He started his official career as a writer and eventually became the host of Philkotse, a car-selling portal in the Philippines. He was then later appointed as the Managing Editor and host of the ZigWheels Philippines YouTube channel in 2021. In this role, Roy leads a team of skilled writers and video producers, creating content about comprehensive car reviews, and news and capturing significant events organized by renowned car manufacturers.

For Roy, the perfect vacation involves embarking on long drives to unfamiliar destinations, only to return and relish the joy of the open road once again, preferably in a Toyota Corolla GT-S, but the GR Corolla won’t be too bad, either.
