BMW teases us yet again with the potential of the Neue Klasse.

BMW's Neue Klasse is themost expensive projectin the automaker's history. That undoubtedly comes with expectations, and the Baravarian marque wants to tease its fans about what its next-generation electric platform will offer. In a video posted by the BMW Group Facebook page, we are treated to a sneak peek of the automaker's vision of augmented reality driving.

The Panoramic Vision system with the Neue Klasse iDrive user interface aims to utilize the width of the front windshield to feature data in information about driving. The video below shows a sleek, uninterrupted curved display positioned below the windscreen. This display presents various information, such as the selected drive mode, current speed, chosen media, location, and time.

A conventional heads-up display (HUD) is also visible on the windscreen. However, it is reasonable to expect that BMW will introduce additional features as they approach the market launch of the system in 2025.

HUDs have always been quite popular with drivers as they display information much like in a fighter jet, without the driver taking their eyes off the road. However, the limited size of traditional HUDs restricts the amount of information displayed, typically presenting small clusters of data like speed, navigation directions, speed limit reminders, or only significant elements such as a navigation map, information panel, or tachometer.

Needless to say, this technology will be available in all upcoming Neue Klasse models, aiming to improve the driving experience of future BMW owners. Of note, the current BMW lineup of EVs includes the i4,iX, and i7.

BMW has promised that we will finally learn which models will use theNeue Klasse platform this year, with six vehicles to be fully revealedbetween 2025 and 2027. The first model will be a sedan and will be followed by an SUV. It's quite a wait; good thing we have the video to keep us satiated for now.
