The German marque reaffirms its push for electrification.

Porsche recently held its Annual General Meeting for 2023, discussing its performance in the previous year. The luxury German automaker saw a 2.6% increase in deliveries, with 309,884 cars sold.

However, Porsche's reaffirmation of its transition to pure EVs was the event's highlight. Although this shift will take time, the company aims to have over 80% of its sales comprised of battery-powered EVs by 2030.

活动期间,奥利弗·布鲁姆,P的首席执行官orsche and chairman of Volkswagen Group, outlined the company's strategy to achieve this objective. TheMacan EV, to be launched in 2024, will be the first zero-emission model to join the existing Taycan. Originally planned for this year, the launch of the electric Macan wasdelayed due to software issues.

Porsche has also revealed plans for a large electric SUV yet to be named.Positioned above the Cayenne, this SUV will primarily target the Chinese and US markets and other lucrative regions.

In the recent general meeting, Blume described it as a "new vehicle concept" that will offer "impressive performance" and deliver a "new interior experience." He also assured that the SUV would incorporate advanced automated driving capabilities.

Last year, we reportedan early leakfrom dealers and parties who had seen the concept in the metal. Descriptions ranged from "Very un-Porsche-like" and "part-sedan, part-crossover." which further piques our curiosity even more.

Internally referred to as the K1, this high-end EV is rumored to feature three-row seating and showcase a distinct exterior design, unlike previous models. Sources close to Porsche suggest that development on the K1 began in 2020, and it will be built on the future SSP Sport platform, a derivative of the Volkswagen Group's Scalable Systems Platform.

Forgive us if you've already heard this before, as this was the same announcement made by Porsche last year. As time passes, however, our anticipation for the newest flagship grows even more.
