Martin Aguilar

Martin Aguilar's interest in cars started early when he tried his best to hold the flashlight while his Dad do some DIY car repairs on the weekends. Growing up he was exposed to several cars that were part of their humble garage such as the Mitsubishi Lancer GSR, Honda Civic, BMW E36, Mitsubishi Pajero, Toyota Hilux, and Toyota Hiace, among others.

Martin is a BA Literature graduate. He started his journalism career as an editorial assistant and writer for various magazines under ABS-CBN Publishing, which included Metro Home & Entertaining and Vault.

Then, Martin moved into becoming a motoring journalist when he joined Autoindustriya. He shifted gears in 2017 to become the editor for AutoDeal. Currently, he is the content editor of Philkotse, a car-buying website that has a dedicated editorial team that publishes automotive news, reviews, and car tips, among many others. He is also a part-time video host for Philkotse’s YouTube channel.

Martin is a closeted Max Verstappen and LeBron James fan who considers Michael Schumacher and Micheal Jordan as the real GOATs.
