Aside from reliability, Tesla also has the largest fast-charging network in America, with nearly 19,500 hubs nationwide, while adding 1,292 supercharger ports in the first quarter of 2023 alone. To put that in perspective, EVgo has the second largest network, with around 2,250 fast charging ports in the US.

JD Power's data showed that Tesla is in a league of its own regarding EV charging station reliability. The study stated that only 3.9% of EV drivers could not use the Tesla supercharger network to charge their vehicles. In comparison, 21.6% of EV drivers could not charge their EVs using non-Tesla public charging stations.

JD Power's data suggests that Tesla's NACS is the more reliable EV charging infrastructure network. It also listed higher customer satisfaction ratings for Tesla's DC fast charger (Level 3) compared to rivals such as General Motors (GM) and Ford.

Tesla's overall customer satisfaction rating is 734 (on a 1,000-point scale). The closest manufacturer to appear on Tesla's rearview mirror is GM, with 586, a significant 148 points behind. Closing in on GM is Ford with 544, while Rivian is not far behind with 542.

Of note, these EV makers have already agreed to partner with Tesla to use the NACS-equipped charging network in America.
