The result might surprise you.

If we told you a 1,000-horsepowerNissan GT-Rwas to drag race a 770-hp DC5 Honda Integra Type R, it's safe to say your money would be on the GT-R. But this drag race fromOfficially Gassedproves that it isn't always about horsepower.

The Integra Type R DC5, which is among the forebears of the newAcura Integra, can be considered past its prime as compared to the more recent Godzilla. But since both are not in stock form, the race could go various ways, which is what happened in the video below.

The stripped-down Nissan GT-R is powered by a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V6 tuned by Linney Tuning that can churn out 1,000 hp.Compared to the Croydon Racing Developments3,000-hp Nissan Skyline GT-R, that's a modest output but impressive nonetheless.

The modifications to the GT-R consist of a strengthened VR38DETT engine, Linney Engineering 1-6 gearset, Linney Engineering 16-plate clutch with billet clutch baskets, and Linney Engineering 3076 hybrid turbos.

It also comes with Linney Engineering Turbo Suction and Intake Pipes, an uprated fuel system, and Linney Engineering 12 Injector Inlet Manifold. The R35 in the video weighs 3,726 pounds and has a six-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Meanwhile, the Integra Type has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo tuned by RaceCal, giving it 770 hp. The mods on said type R include a fully built CSS K20A2 engine, Drag Cartel camshafts, Supertech valve springs, and sidewinder manifold, among others.

The Integra Type R DC5 also has a custom AWD conversion and a Quaife sequential gearbox, the same component found on theCivic EK that drag racedagainst a Ford F-150. It's significantly lighter at 2,778 pounds and has a five-speed manual transmission. While the weight difference was a huge factor, experience dictatesthat the need for manual shifting should be a factor in favor of the DCT-equipped GT-R.

The Honda sounded hopeless at the start of the video, but it pulled an upset against the more powerful GT-R, especially during the standing quarter mile. How? It was a mixture of the driver's skill and grip, but the video above shows how it all went down, proving that numbers aren't everything and thatspeed is about more than just horsepower.
