The Exquisite Bugatti Chiron Hermes Edition Looks Worth The Wait

The one-off hypercar was commissioned three years ago by a California real-estate mogul and noted car collector.

If you're spending two or three million bucks on a new hypercar, you can (and should) expect to get it just the way you want it. Manny Khoshbin probably knows that better than just about anyone else, and this is how he chose to spec his new Bugatti.

It's theChiron Hermès edition, it's the only one of its kind, and now more than three years since it was commissioned, it's finally ready. But while you might look at it and think, "So what, it's a white Bugatti," there's a lot more going on here than a coat of whitewash.

First off, it's painted in a unique shade called Hermès Craie, ostensibly similar to the Chalk or Crayon offered by Bugatti's sister company Porsche. It covers the bodywork, the rear bumper (unusually), the wheels, and even extends to the cockpit. The grilles are also filled with a mesh made up of Hermès' signature H pattern, and the interior is upholstered in soft white Hermès leather, accented with cashmere panels with the Parisian luxury brand's Courbettes horse motif (which also appears under the rear wing when elevated). And several inscriptions attest to its unique standing.

It's a one-of-one creation that we don't expect to see replicated. But exquisite as it may appear, it's hardly uncharted territory for either Bugatti or Khoshbin.

Ettore Bugatti first partnered with Émile-Maurice Hermès in the 1920s. Decades later, the Alsatian automaker rekindled the relationship to produce theVeyron Fbg par Hermèsedition. The centi-millionaire Persian real-estate mogul who commissioned this job was evidently so enamored with the treatment that he had Pagani make him a unique Huayra in brown carbon with a Hermès leather interior, and is said to have ordered the same approach on a new McLaren Speedtail.

On January 4, Khoshnin will be showing his Hermès-editionBugatti Chironalong with the rest of his collection, which also includes several other Bugattis, McLarens, Koenigseggs, and a newPorsche 935(to go with his Carrera GT and 918 Spyder). But you can check it out now in these images we've collected for your perusal.

哦,如果你想知道他的很多ix- and seven-figure exotics he drives most, that'd be his Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe, which he also had painted white for cruising around Southern California and surveying his hundred-million-dollar empire.
