斯巴鲁Recalls Almost 1 Million Impreza, Forester, And Crosstrek Models

斯巴鲁has always been a brand favored for reliability, but every company makes mistakes at some point. In 2018, the companyrecalled a quarter of a million vehicles. The following year, an even bigger recall occurred, with this oneaffecting a whopping 2.3 million vehicles. Sadly, now there are another two recalls out, pertaining to 2017-2109 models of the Impreza, 2018-2019 models of theCrosstrek, 2017的模型Forester. In total, the two recalls affecting these three vehicles involve almost a million vehicles, but fortunately, no accidents or injuries have been reported due to these issues, says Subaru.

The first recall is "to check and/or update the engine control module programming and to replace all ignition coils which could, over time, degrade and cause starting or stalling issues." The recall covers 466,205 vehicles and affects the 2017-2019Imprezaand 2018-2019 Crosstrek models. Subaru says that the recall is being conducted out of an abundance of caution since it is highly unlikely that the recall will cause any accidents. Fortunately, it sounds like a very easy issue to fix, and will likely require little more than a software update and the replacement of the original ignition coil packs.

The second recall is a little more severe. It affects the 2019 Forester and 2019 Crosstrek, vehicles that require the examination and re-torquing of bolts on the rear stabilizer bracket. These have been identified as weak points that could loosen over time. If that happens, the bracket could then move around and cause damage to other components. Although more likely to affect safety, this is also a minor recall and shouldn't take long to resolve either. 405,000 vehicles are affected here, and Subaru says that it will send mailed notification to owners within 60 days. Hopefully, no more issues crop up anytime soon.
