年代pied! Ferrari's New V6-Powered Hybrid Supercar

It looks a lot like an SF90 Stradale but there's no V8 roar.

We've known for some time that Ferrari is in the process of developing anew hybrid supercar. However, while the年代F90 Stradalepairs a mighty V8 with electric assistance, the new Ferrari's hybrid powertrain will use a V6. In a new video taken by Italian Instagram influencer Anna Maria Catalano, Ferrari's still-undercover V6 hybrid supercar was spied once more in Italy close to a Ferrari factory. The video doesn't give too much away although the spied Ferrari does sound rather muted and seems to share a few styling elements with the SF90 Stradale such as the rounded taillight clusters and high-mounted dual-exit tailpipe arrangement.

This latest Ferrari differs stylistically from the hybrid Ferrarispotted earlier this year. That car had single rounded taillights and a much larger rear window section. In any case, a hybrid V6 Ferrari would make sense as a more affordable model to slot in below the SF90. Even McLaren turned to hybridized V6 power with its newArtura. That car makes 671 horsepower and will reach 62 mph in just three seconds, proof that downsizing does not have to come at the expense of vicious performance. Recent rumors suggest the new Ferrari hybrid supercar will be unveiled at the end of May.

The new Ferrari will have an output of 986 horsepower but that's exactly what the SF90 Stradale makes and we expect the new V6 hybrid from Ferrari will be positioned below this. A more likely output of around 700 hp is what we anticipate from a rumored 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 when paired with an electric motor. That should see it perform similarly to the McLaren Artura. This car is expected to replace the gorgeousF8 Tributowhich has comparable outputs from its 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. More information should be revealed soon but Ferrari's electrified future is certainly taking shape.

And before you cry foul on Ferrari using V6 engines, remember that Dino Ferrari once resorted to the same configuration, which led to the birth of modern mid-engined Ferraris from the brand.
