They will be replaced by hybrid models by 2024.

According to a report fromAutomotive News Europe, both the Lamborghini Huracan and the Urus have gone theway of the Revueltoand are now sold out. Specifically, the report quotes Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann who told the German newspaperWeltthat the order books for the two Lambos had been filled up until the end of their respective production periods.

That isn't the end of theUrus, though, as the only sold-out models are those purely powered by internal combustion engines (ICEs).

Of note, the Urus isgoing hybrid next year. Not much is known about the electrified SUV, but it has been described to bear avery interesting designlike many of the carmaker's upcoming electric and hybrid models.

The Huracan, specifically the off-road-ready Sterrato, is the carmaker'sfinal non-electrified supercar. It will then be replaced by a completely newplug-in hybrid successor in 2024. Again, no details were shared for this upcoming model, but it is expected to use a new twin-turbo architecture paired with a new dual-clutch gearbox.

While the Urus and Huracan ICE models were undoubtedly grand slam hits contributing to Lamborghini'sfinancial success in 2022, its upcoming electrified versions are crucial. Thebrand investedat least $1.88 billion in plug-in hybrid technologies and has confirmed that it will hybridize its entire lineup by next year.

Further into the future, Winkelmann previously confirmed that the next Uruscoming out in 2029will be an electric vehicle (EV). This comes after a yet-to-be-named battery electric model that will debut a bit earlier in 2028.

With all that said, the final ICE versions of the supercar specialist seem to be going out with a bang where sales are concerned. So like its record sales figures last year, the brand is also on the road to a very profitable 2023.
