Instead, he built an analysis tool that scanned listings across the country, comparing models, car conditions and prices at thousands of dealership. Now, with over 4 million cars researched on the site, iSeeCars.com is offering some great insight regarding the most popular used cars in America.

It also tells us which cities offer the cheapest prices, and where we will have to pay unnecessary premiums. 2013's best places to buy our used favorites include: a Chevy Silverado 1500 - New York City has them for 9.5% below national average. For a Ford Escape, head to Miami-Ft. Lauderdale, FL, where prices are 6.4 percent under the national marker. Looking for an Accord? Buffalo, NY has them for 8.4 percent cheaper. But stay away from Seattle, where prices are 6.2% above national average. Similarly, the Nissan Altima sells for 6.7% above national average in Memphis, while the Chevrolet Impala is 6.4% above in St. Louis. Hat tip to Dmitry.
