The Cayenne Turbo is one of the quickest and most comfortable luxury SUVs around, and it’s certainly among the very sharpest too. Although it does suffer from a lack of standard features when compared to its rivals - and that’s no laughing matter for vehicles that can cost over $200,000 - it is still an impressive machine even in base form. It’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 generates 541 hp and 567 lb-ft of torque, enough for a sub-four-second 0-60 mph sprint. Top speed is limited to 177 mph, which is not uncommon in this segment, but it’s when you get inside and see all the little details and the excellence of the build quality that you really start to appreciate what Porsche does here. The leather interior is sumptuous and the 12.3-inch infotainment system a glittering and obedient interface for all media. Sure, it’s pricey, but it’s brilliant too.
