The British luxury automaker will be releasing 150 examples only.
Jaguar has announced its last-ever combustion car with a special editionJaguar F-Type Rcalled the ZP Edition. If that name sounds familiar, it's because earlier this year, Jaguar announced a series ofE-Type restomods bearing the same name, saying back then that they would receive matching F-Type counterparts; these are said counterparts.
From 2025, Jaguar will become an all-electric brand, developing a dedicated new platform and announcing anew four-door electric GTwith more power than any other Jaguar before as its first model of this new era.
But before then, the brand is making sure it goes out with a roar and not a whimper, choosing the supercharged V8-powered F-Type as its final ICE model. Sadly, the ZP Edition doesn't gain any performance enhancements but pays homage to the E-Type and its racing heritage. While there will be seven special pairs of the ZP Edition E-Type and F-Type sold to discerning collectors, the F-Type ZP Edition will be more widely available, with 150 units built throughout 2024.
Available in both coupe and convertible guise, the ZP Editions use the 567-horsepower F-Type R as their base, powered by the supercharged 5.0-liter V8 that recently had itssoundtrack inducted into the British Libraryto ensure it is not lost to time.
完成Oulton蓝色或水晶灰色-是一样的colors as the E-Type ZP Editions, which themselves pay tribute to the first racing E-Types - both get Porcelain White racing-inspired roundels on their sides, matching white grille mouths, black mirror caps and detailing, and gloss black diamond-turned 20-inch alloy wheels housing gloss black brake calipers.
Inside, the Oulton Blue colorway is paired with a Mars Red and Ebony duotone leather interior, while the Crystal Grey gloss has a Navy Blue/Ebony interior. The seats also receive special horizontal fluting.
These colorways are entirely unique to the F-Type and have been curated by JLR's SV Bespoke division. Each car is also marked with ZP Edition branding on the treadplates and wheels.
Each F-Type ZP Edition example features a "One of 150" badge to commemorate the final edition.
While the aesthetic enhancements - courtesy of the brand's SV Bespoke division - look nifty, no powertrain upgrades were made. The Jaguar F-Pace ZP Edition uses a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 with 567 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. AWD is standard, as is an eight-speed automatic gearbox. As such, the 0-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds and top speed of 186 mph remain unaffected.
"As Jaguar embarks on the boldest transformation in its history, to become a modern luxury all-electric brand from 2025, this is an unrepeatable celebration of Jaguar's internal combustion sports car provenance," says Rawdon Glover, Jaguar's managing director. "F-Type has captivated sports car drivers for more than a decade, just as the E-type did five decades before it. The ZP Edition is the ultimate celebration of that lineage, joining an illustrious roster of heritage-inspired collector's editions including the 2015 Project 7 and 2020 Heritage 60 Edition."
