This 918 Lookalike Is Actually A Porsche Boxster

Transforming an affordable mid-engined car into a more expensive-looking vehicle is not a new trend. Ever since the Pontiac Fiero came out in 1983, a market has existedturning it into a fake Ferrari. A new company called Vale Automotive is attempting something similar with a Porsche Boxster. Vale is currently developing a bodykit for the Boxster inspired bythe legendary 911 GT1.

We aren't sure which Boxster the bodykit will fit, but it's likely not a brand-new2022 Porsche 718 Boxsterunder there. Judging by the door handles, we'd say the kit will likely fit the原来986年博克斯特, which is currently one of the most cost-effective ways to buy a Porsche.

The pictures above show a rendering of the finished product, and a picture below shows the current progress with Vale developing molds for the kit. Vale has updated interested customers about the project via its Instagram account. On December 11, the company posted, "As progress on our molds continue we get loads of DMs asking about prices and when it's going to be ready. The truth is on price we still have a lot to figure out on that side of things as we want to keep the quality of the kit as high as we can without pricing it out of the market."

"What we will do soon is open a pre-order list with a very small refundable deposit to secure the first kits which we fully expect to be ready at the start of February 2022," they added. "We are also considering limiting the number of kits to keep them a bit more exclusive and also hopefully to help with residual values of finished vehicles, win for us , win for our customers."
