The GMC Hummer SUV EV Prepares For First Public Appearance

GM isinvesting big in its EV future. It aims to offer30 new EV models by 2025, making it one of the biggest players in the electric vehicle market. In order to get customers excited about an all-electric future, brands have had to come up with some headline-grabbing vehicles. GM has done so with theGMC Hummer EV.

Most know the Hummer as the official vehicle of Arnold Schwarzenegger and guys who feature on those storage hunter TV shows. But GM and its GMC brand have flipped the image of this all-American brute on its head by offering it as an EV. But it hasn't appeared in the flesh yet for the public at large. That will change at the upcoming Motor Bella show being held at the M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan.

GMC willlaunch the truck version before the SUV, so it'll definitely be a cool opportunity to see this thing months before it hits the road. Also set to be on hand is the new GM Defense Infantry Squad Vehicle and a wide range of GM performance vehicles, including the next-generation Camaro ZL1 race car andCorvette C8.R.
