The "style-driven" EV6 will be revealed at Monterey Car Week alongside the EV9

Kia is coming to Monterey Car Week with a new limited edition model based on theEV6electric crossover. The Korean automaker hasn't shared much but said the vehicle will be limited to 1,000 units. Described as the "designer's choice," the special EV6 will boast unique interior and exterior colors.

A single close-up image of the car has been shared, showing gorgeous dark green metallic paintwork, a color not currently offered for the EV6. We're curious to see whether all 1,000 examples will receive this classy finish or if other hues will be offered.

As for the interior, we anticipate high-end leather or textile upholstery for the seats and trim elements. We'd love to see the tasteful green paintwork paired with a tan or cream interior.

Along with this new "style-driven" EV6, Kia will also showcase the newEV9.

Thisall-electric premium SUVcaused quite a stir when it was revealed. Billed as an electric alternative to the popular Telluride, the EV9 impresses with itssustainably-designed interior, futuristic styling, and practicality - sadly, the clever swivel seats willnot be offered on US-spec models.

"After shocking the automotive world last year at The Quail with the debut of the EV6 GT, Kia is returning with the EV9 SUV, which encapsulates our experience in producing brilliantly designed, best-in-class SUVs with our deep expertise in developing the industry's leading EVs," said Steven Center, COO & EVP, Kia America. "Being present in Monterey demonstrates the gravity of Kia's dedication to delivering vehicles that continue to innovate."

With 576 horsepower on tap, theEV6 GTcan hit 60 mph in a scorching 3.4 seconds before reaching a top speed of 161 mph. That's not bad for a practical crossover that costs $61,600.

When it comes to electric vehicles, Kia is determined to dominate the segment. The automaker plans to introduce PBVs (purpose-built vehicles) catering to the commercial sector. This includes electric taxis, delivery vans, and even trucks, with production expected tokick off in the second half of 2025.

Rumors also suggest the discontinued Kia Stinger willreturn as an electric performance sedanwith up to 602 horsepower. On the more practical side, the company's EV5broke cover earlier this week. Scheduled for production in China, there's no word yet on whether it will arrive in America, but we sure hope it does.
