斯巴鲁Teases New WRX S4 Sedan

Like the WRX, the WRX S4 has plenty of black cladding on the lower body, sporty bumpers, a prominent hood scoop, and quad-exit tailpipes. It's possible that the S4 will boast a slight power bump over the normal WRX. In the US, the new WRX sedan's 2.4-liter turbocharged boxer four delivers 271 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. That makes it a mere 3 hp more powerful than the model it replaces. Fortunately, a six-speed manual gearbox and the brand's symmetrical all-wheel drive system remain in place. The WRX has been improved inside as well and now comes with an 11.6-inch tablet-style touchscreen interface.

A new GT trim gets welcome extras like Recaro front seats and an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat. While Japan's WRX S4 may have only hinted at the potential of the future STI, we expect the real deal to be worth the wait. Thenext WRX STIwill not only look the part - at least in our eyes - but it's also rumored to producearound 345 hp. That's not as much as has been previously speculated, but it's enough to comfortably distance itself from the regular WRX. Combined with a manual transmission, a driver-controlled center differential, AWD, and brake-assisted torque vectoring, the next STI should feature all of the brand's toys to ensure it offers a driving experience that's second to none.
