This example is finished in two-tone matte black carbon and matt jet gray.

Bugatti has unveiled the latestChiron Pur SportGrand Prix specification from its Sur Mesure customization program, which may be the most tasteful spec of all.

ThePur Sport Grand Prix was first unveiledin 2021 as the first product of Bugatti's in-house Sur Mesure customization program and commemorated the Bugatti Type 51 that won the French Grand Prix in 1931 with Louis Chiron at the helm. But while the original was a fitting tribute, color-wise, the latest example of the Pur Sport Grand Prix could be the most tasteful, as it sees the Chiron finished in a simple-yet-effective two-tone paint job of Matte Black Carbon over Matte Jet Grey.

The '32' on the hypercar was the number on Chiron's Type 51 at the 1931 Circuit de Monaco race, and is hand-painted for that extra special touch. Meanwhile, the fading EB pattern is also applied by hand.

The interiors predominantly black, save for orange accents on the seats, steering wheel 12 o'clock marker, and the central spine of the dashboard, adding a pop of color to the otherwise understated look.

"Inspired by the 20th century heroics of legendary racing driver, Louis Chiron, the Chiron Pur Sport Grand Prix from the Bugatti Sur Mesure customization program beautifully fuses the brand's victorious motorsport legacy within a modern hyper sports car that redefines the parameters of lateral performance," said Bugatti.

Of the total run of 500 Chirons, 60 were Pur Sport versions. Of those, it is unknown how many were ordered in Grand Prix spec, but each was tailored to its owner's desires. Mechanically, it remained unchanged from the standard Pur Sport - thehandling-oriented version of the Chiron.

With a weight reduction of 110 lbs over the standard model, the Pur Sport has an optimized transmission, springs that were 65% and 33% firmer at the front and back, respectively, an adaptive damping control strategy, and modified camber values. Powering the hypercar is an 8.0-liter W16 engine with 1,479 horsepower and 1,180 lb-ft of torque.

For those who don't know the history of Louis Chiron, he was a Monegasque racing driver for Bugatti and was the only Monegasque to score points in Formula 1 beforeCharles Leclercfinished in sixth at the 2018 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. However, his past was checkered, as he purposefully stymied the racing career of Helle Nice, one of themost badass chicks in motoring.
