Lamborghini Celebrates Best Six Months Of Sales Ever

Supercars /3 Comments

The company is booked solid for the next 10 months.

这是一个美好的一天是兰博基尼。好的,每一天is a good day to be Lamborghini, but when the six-month sales numbers come in and the company just logged its best half-year ever, it's a really good day to be The House of Sant' Agata. The company moved 4,852 cars in 2021, a 37% increase over 2020. But we know 2020 was an outlier. Still, it increased sales 6.6% over 2019.

"This exceptional result is a double confirmation for us. It is proof of the solidity and strength of this brand, which is enjoying growing appeal despite a period of continuous challenges and uncertainty," said Stephan Winkelmann. "It also endorses the positive reception to our new industrial plan for future electrification of our product range, in which we will invest over 1.5 billion euros by 2024. Lamborghini's course is set for a period of great transformation, where technological innovation and sustainability will go hand in hand with a focus on maximum product performance and loyalty to the brand's DNA."

Predictably, theLamborghini UrusSUV made the most noise, with 2,796 units moved, an increase of 35%. Lambo moved 1,532 Huracans, an increase of 46%, and 524 Avendators went for a 21% gain. That's the breakdown we'd expect from the company. We know thatSUVs are selling like hotcakes. And the price is right on the Urus at about $218,000. The Aventador is the most expensive vehicle it sells, hence the lower number and the Huracan is its most popular non-SUV, even more than last generation's Lamborghini Gallardo.

These sales don't include the newLamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae, which will be the grand finale of the company's naturally aspirated V12. That car makes 769 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque - 39 hp and 10 hp more than the Aventador S and SVJ, respectively. Dry weight comes in at just 3,417 pounds. They also don't include the upcomingHuracan STO, a road-legal supercar inspired by the Huracan Super Trofeo Evo that races in the Squadra Corsa championship.

As for the market split, the US bought the most Lamborghinis in 2021 at 1,502 units. China, Hong Kong and Macau were next with 602, leaping to second place. Germany, the UK, Japan, the Middle East and Italy round out the top seven. Did we mention the company is booked 10 months out?
