Kia has finally announced pricing for the2024EV9lineup with its first-ever three-row electric SUV getting a starting price of $54,900for the Light RWD derivative. The base model receives DC fast-charging capability thanks to the 800-volt architecture, seating for seven occupants, stylish 19-inch alloy wheels, and an eight-way powered driver's seat with heating and ventilation capabilities.

This model produces a respectable 215 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, while the $59,200 Light Long Range RWD packs 201 hp. This version receives a larger 99.8-kWh battery that provides greater range, making it the obvious choice for those frequently taking longer trips. Kia has said it istargeting a range of 300 milesfor this model. Second-row captain's chairs are also available on this trim.

Positioned in the middle of the range is the Wind e-AWD trim. Priced at $63,900, the Wind gains a dual-motor drivetrain with 379 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. This model boasts increased ground clearance (7.8 inches) and standard torque vectoring. A useful heat pump and a heated steering wheel are also part of the Wind trim.

Next up is the $69,900 Land e-AWD. Land models benefit from many features, ranging from luxury to styling enhancements. The EV9 Land gains the Digital Pattern Lighting Grille and 20-inch wheels for the exterior, lending the electric brute plenty of presence.

Occupants can relax while listening to the 14-speaker Meridian audio system. The heated and power-adjustable steering wheel should make the driver more comfortable, and there's also a Full Display Mirror. The Land produces the same amount of power and torque as the Wind e-AWD but has the option of a Towing Package that boosts towing capacity to 5,000 lbs.

If you must have the best, it's the EV9 GT-Line e-AWD that you'll be interested in. Priced at $73,900, the top-of-the-line EV9 justifies its hefty price tag in several ways. The exterior has a model-specific front and rear fascia, gloss black finishes, and 21-inch wheels.

Inside, you'll find GT-Line-specific touches andrelaxation-mode seating. Like the Wind and Land grades, the GT-Line delivers 379 hp to all four wheels. However, the top model receives considerably more torque, pegged at 516 lb-ft.

On the tech front, all EV9s benefit from an Onboard Power Generator (vehicle-to-load), which can power appliances and gives it vehicle-to-home and vehicle-to-grid capabilities, making it more practical than your average family car. Android Auto/Apple CarPlay connectivity and a wireless charger are also standard.

Safety-wise, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist and park distance control are standard on all models. The Land introduces blind-spot and surround-view monitoring. The top-spec GT-Line receives Remote Smart Parking Assist 2.

Because the Kia EV9 is not built in America, itdoes not qualify for any incentives. Kia hasplans to build the EV9 in America, with local production expected to kick off next year.
