CONFIRMED: Bigger Cadillac Escalade IQ Coming Soon, Could Get Escalade IQL Name

Once it hits the road, theEscalade IQwill be one of the largest electric SUVs around, but Cadillac isn't stopping there. As confirmed by Cadillac marketing spokesperson Lizzy Dinnella toThe Drive, an even bigger version of the full-size electric SUV is coming - and it will be announced soon.

"You won't have to wait too long to hear about that," Dinnella told the publication when asked about a possible long-wheelbase version of the Escalade IQ, much like the current ICE-poweredEscalade ESV.

"We know that with the Escalade customer, the third row is usually folded down, and they have it if they need it. But we have plans for people who are carrying more passengers more often."

While the typical Escalade is 211.9 inches in length with a 120.9-inch wheelbase, the Escalade IQ stretches to 224.3 inches over a wheelbase of 136.2 inches. These numbers put the Escalade IQ close to the Escalade ESV in terms of length, but with an even longer wheelbase.

Additionally, the Escalade IQ is wider than its ICE-powered counterpart by over four inches, measuring 85.3 inches (excluding mirrors), and an impressive 94.1 inches from the outermost points of its mirrors. In terms of height, it stands at 76.1 inches and maintains a standard ground clearance of 6.9 inches.

That said, an even bigger (or longer) version of the Escalade IQ will certainly be a hulking SUV, which leads us to our next question: What about its weight?
