BMW M4 Transformed Into DTM Racer Lookalike With New Widebody Kit

Adro will produce just ten examples of the exclusive body kit.

Aerodynamic Development Race Optimization (Adro), a companyspecializing in high-end body kits, has released images of its new widebody kit for theBMW M4(G82).

The kit has over 20 components, giving the sports coupe a genuinely menacing look. The flared fenders, more pronounced bumpers, and the prominent rear wing are reminiscent of a DTM car, which should appeal to Adro's target audience.

The most welcome change can be found up front, where the controversial buck-toothed grille has made way for a more attractive design. It's not as appealing as the smaller grilles on older models, but it's a start. We first saw thisredesigned grille earlier this year, with Adro noting it is 10% smaller than the stock item.

According to a post on theBimmerpostforum, Adro will officially reveal the new kit at SEMA 2023 in late October.

The body kit is reportedly crafted using the same carbon fiber and TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin Material) tech, much like Adro's Carbon Fiber Aero Program. The kit comprises the following Prepreg carbon fiber items: new front fenders, rear over fenders, a front lip, side skirts, a rear diffuser, a vented hood, and an AT-R3 Swan Neck dual pane rear spoiler. The front bumper uses Adro's TPO technology.

Adro还没有公布定价工具, but we're guessing it's rather pricey. The menacing upgrade will be limited to ten units worldwide on a "made-to-order" basis. Overall, it reminds us of a road-going version ofthe hardcore BMW M4 GT4.

Add a healthy power boostand some new wheels to the list, and the widebody kit could be transformed into a touring car for the road.

We look forward to seeing the final product once it is revealed at SEMA. It will be interesting to see whether Adro creates a similar option for the M3 Sedan and M3 Touring.

Several tuners offer a unique body kit for the BMW M4. Avante Design, for example, attempted to fix the controversial grille but managed to ruin the rest of the car with anawkward and swollen-looking widebody kit. Other tuners like Vorsteinerhave also attempted to fix the grille.
