The French automaker will show its latest custom-made Chiron at The Quail.

Bugatti isready to replace the Chiron, but before that happens, the French marque is paying tribute to the storied nameplate at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering this weekend with a new version of the hypercar.

In a teaser posted on Bugatti's Instagram, a gold-themedChiron展示了on its side, showing only its silhouette amid a low-light environment. The social media post also came with a photo showing the designer sketching the newest rendition of the Chiron using gold ink, plus a short video of a man walking toward the car. The post came with the caption:

"A timeless and incomparable homage to the era-defining moments in the history of BUGATTI. 10.08.23. 10 AM CEST. #BUGATTI #BUGATTISurMesure #GoldenEra #TheQuail"

Details about the latest version of the Chiron are obviously scarce, though the hashtags provide some clues. Bugatti's Sur Mesure is the automaker's in-house customization program, telling us that the upcoming reveal will be a one-off for an extremely wealthy client. The latest hypercar made by the Sur Mesure was the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport Grand Prix Specification, probably the department'smost tasteful workwith its two-tone Matte Black Carbon over Matte Jet Grey paint job.

Meanwhile, the teaser post also mentioned "Golden Era," referring to either the car's gold-themed exterior (and probably the interior, too) or a befitting celebration of Bugatti's bread and butter for the past several years.

Meanwhile, the side profile image of the upcoming model shows that it's a longtail version, much like the Chiron Super Sportunveiled two years ago. That said, we can expect the one-off to have a top speed of 273 mph, drawing power from Bugatti's 1,577-horsepower, quad-turbo W16 engine. Whether it will be a "300+" model or not, that's up in the air right now.

We're unsure if this will be the last rendition of the Bugatti Chiron, given that the automaker is ready to debut its electrified replacement. The automaker's next hypercar is the last model penned by Achim Anscheidt, wholeft the company在19年,replaced by Frank Heyl, a Bugatti design department veteran.

We'll know more about the upcoming Bugatti Chiron soon enough as it's scheduled to debut tomorrow, on August 10, 2023, at 4:00 a.m. EST.
