2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Arrives With Minor Updates And Same Base Price

Industry News /Comments

Two of the upper trims are more expensive, though.

Jeep has shared a few mild updates and the latest pricing for the 2024Grand Cherokee, a midsize SUV that feels a cut above its obvious rivals thanks to its upscale interior. The current generation of the Grand Cherokee is still fresh, having arrived for the 2022 model year, so this explains why the changes for 2024 are minimal.

For the regular Grand Cherokee and the Grand Cherokee L, the only update is the newly standard 18-inch polished/aluminum wheels, a welcome change since the previous 17-inch wheels looked rather puny. The updates for the 2024Grand Cherokee 4xeplug-in hybrid are only slightly more interesting, with new 18-inch black-painted aluminum wheels for the Trailhawk and the return of last year's30th Anniversary Edition, now simply called the Anniversary Edition but retaining the same aesthetic upgrades.

The best news for the 2024 model relates to pricing.

Whereas the smaller Jeep Cherokeewas handed a hefty price hikeearlier this year, the same hasn't occurred for the 2024 Grand Cherokee, which starts at $39,535 - the same as for the base 2023 Laredo variant. In fact, the lower trims - Laredo X, Altitude, Altitude X, and Limited - all have the same prices for 2024. It's only higher up in the range that things have changed. Whereas the 2023 Overland started at $58,195, the 2024 version now costs $60,195. The luxurious Summit now costs $64,460 (+$2,000), but the Summit Reserve is $68,940 (the same as last year).

We did spot some differences in package prices, with the base Laredo's Luxury Tech Group I pack now being $1,795 (+$150), adding items like heated front seats and a power liftgate. Other examples include the Limited's Black Appearance Package and Luxury Tech Group II pack; both are $235 pricier.

自2023年和2024年的模型re virtually the same, you can save by going for a 2023 model, especially if you want the Overland or Summit. At the time of writing, 2023 models were still available to order on the Jeep site.

Pricing for the 2024 Grand Cherokee L begins at $41,535, while the 4xe starts at $59,865 - both the same as last year. The most expensive Grand Cherokee of all is the 4xe Summit Reserve at $77,825.

The current Grand Cherokee is a much more handsome and luxurious offering than the model it replaces, but it isno longer available with the classic Hemi V8engine (unless you go for the larger Cherokee L), which may motivate owners of theprevious WK2 modelto resist upgrading. The trusty Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 remains with 293 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, some way adrift of the 375-hp 4xe PHEV.
