The practical SUV has been kept fresh for the new model year.

The popularHonda Passporthas been refreshed for MY2024 with subtle styling tweaks, a more practical cabin, enhanced off-road performance, and a new Black Edition trim level at the top of the range.

Let's start with the changes made to the entire lineup before focusing on model-specific updates. All 2024 Passports benefit from a larger center console and a new armrest. The center console storage now swallows more belongings, including a full-size tablet. A redesigned tray can fit two large smartphones in front of the gear selector. The Passport boasts 50.5 ft3of cargo space.

The new Black Edition trim replaces the Elite grade and features unique styling elements that set it apart from lesser models. Available in four colors - Crystal Black Pearl, Platinum White, Sonic Grey, and Radiant Red - the Black Edition receives black exterior trim on the grille, door handles, window trims, and headlights. Black-painted 20-inch wheels are also part of the package.

The Black Edition is further enhanced with perforated leather trim with red accents. The front seats benefit from a ventilation function, while the rear pews are only heated. Sporty red stitching can be found on the seats, door panels, and steering wheel.

The rugged TrailSport trim, introduced for MY2022,收到了几个更新甚至铁道部e competent on loose trails and dirt roads. The suspension, for example, receives uprated damper valve tuning and new stabilizer bars. The spring rates have also been revised, culminating in a smoother ride quality off-road that promises not to affect on-road handling and comfort. We hope we like this makes it slightly less of a soft-roader, something we couldn't help but point out whenwe drove the 2023 version.

2024年护照TrailSport也跟从es all-terrain tires. The 245/60 General Grabber A/Tx tires are wrapped around pewter-painted 18-inch wheels (exclusive to the TrailSport), providing greater traction in dirt, sand, snow, and rocky terrain. Honda says these off-road biased tires are well-suited to everyday road use.

TrailSport derivatives also receive power folding mirrors, a boon when navigating narrow trails. As a reminder, the TrailSport boasts 0.39-inch widened front and rear track widths.

Inside, Honda has loaded the TrailSport with plenty of features. While not as plush as the Black Edition, the rugged Passport receives unique orange contrast stitching for the door cards, steering wheel, and seats, the latter of which features embroidered TrailSport logos. Also, all-season rubber floor mats protect the carpets from muddy shoes. Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility, wireless charging, and four USB-C charging ports are standard.

Regarding standard safety equipment, the 2024 Passport receives the sophisticated Honda Sensing suite of driver-assists. This includes forward collision warning, lane-keep assist, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, and more.

The Passport's 3.5-liter V6 delivers a respectable 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, providing ample motivation for daily driving duties. A smooth nine-speed automatic channels power to all four wheels; a front-wheel drive variant is no longer offered. Passport has a tow rating of 5,000 pounds, which is decent.

Expect the 2024 Passport to arrive at your local Honda dealership this fall. New Genuine Honda Accessories will be offered to Passport customers, such as underbody protection and an HPD+ package made up of 20-inch wheels, an exclusive grille finish, and black fender flares. Expect pricing to follow later, but we anticipate it won't stray too far from the MY2023 prices.
