2019 Nissan Maxima Gets Price Hike To Go With Facelift

Nissan has given itsflagship Maximasedan a mid-cyclefacelift for 2019. And with the improvements, it's now announced that it's received a bit of a price bump as well.

The new model carries a base price of $33,950, plus a destination charge of $895 (the same as last year). That represents a $530 increase over the 2018 model it replaces. Step up to the SV trim and you'll shell out $35,960 ($540 more). The mid-level SL goes for $38,440 ($600 more), the SR for $39,530 ($850 more), and the top-of-the-line Platinum for $41,440 ($350 more than last year).

Ranging from $350 to $850 (depending on the trim level selected), the increase in price strikes us as rather reasonable considering the improvements which the 2019 Nissan Maxima brings to bear, and comes in around the same as the price hike applied to thesimilarly refreshed Muranocrossover.

The styling has been tweaked and comes with LED lighting. The interior's been refreshed. There are new equipment and packages available, the exterior color pallet expands with the addition of a new Sunset Drift ChromaFlair finish, and of course it rides on new wheels as well.
