2019 Audi TT RS Transformed Into 450-HP Weapon

German tuning firm ABT Sportsline has a particular affinity for Audi, releasing hot products like the500-hp Audi RS3 Sedanand the Audi S8 which was potent enough to casually put downdyno figures on par with Ferraris. One of our favorite ABT products is the TT RS-R, but with Audi having updated the TT RS since ABT last had a look, the tuning firm has decided to give the 2019 version a little bit of love.

Now the2019 Audi TT RS Coupeis no slouch, to begin with. The 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder hammers out 394 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque, sending that power to a Quattro-badged all-wheel-drive system via a snappy seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. In stock form, the TT RS will rocket from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds before continuing on to a top speed limited to 155 mph. Those are figures that just a few years ago were the reserve ofV10-powered mid-engine supercars.

一个BT ups the ante, though, tuning thelegendary five-pot TFSI motorto develop 453 hp and 390 lb-ft - increases of 59 hp and 46 lb-ft respectively - with the installation of the ABT Engine Control (ACE). The tuner hasn't divulged performance figures, but it's fair to say we expect improvements in straight-line acceleration.

The firm also tuned the soundtrack that accompanies such performance - an area that was by no means lacking before. It swapped out the standard dual oval exhaust outlets for a set of blacked-out quad-pipes, while under the body runs a new ABT stainless steel sports exhaust system to make the five-cylinder sing a little louder.

It didn't leave the rest of the exterior untouched, either, giving the TT RS an aggressive aesthetic to complement the increases in power and aural enjoyment. Buyers can opt for either a set of 19-inch ABT ER-C wheels in matte black or a set of 20-inch GR wheels finished in either gloss or matte black. The front end gets an aggressive dose of carbon fiber in the form of a bespoke front splitter and aerodynamic canards, which can also be matched to a range of carbon-fiber interior trim, making thefreshly restyled TT RSlook even fresher.
